Our Radiation Oncology program offers excellence and expertise in radiation therapy close to home for patients in south jersey. Nearly 7,000 radiation treatments are provided each year at our Washington Township location. Medical Director Board Certified in Radiation Oncology, Dr. LaCouture has been recognized as a "Top Doc" in her field by SJ Magazine, Philadelphia Magazine and Inside Jersey. A graduate of UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. LaCouture is a member of multiple professional societies, including the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, the Radiosurgery Society, and the American College of Radiology.
Michael J. Greenberg, MD, Clinical Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology and Enterprise Vice Chair for Business Development, joined Jefferson Health – New Jersey, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center – Washington Township in fall 2021. Previously, he served as Medical Director of Urology in Cherry Hill for nearly two years. Dr. Greenberg also serves as Medical Director and Oncology Service Line Director of The Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center at Lehigh Valley Health - Pocono (formerly Pocono Medical Center), and Northeast Director of Radiation Services for Geisinger Health System.
Dr. Greenberg is a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York City, and Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency at Kings County Hospital Center, Brooklyn, New York. In his new role, Dr. Greenberg will oversee all aspects of new business for the Department of Radiation Oncology.
Accreditation Makes a Difference
The Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation (ROPA) program provides radiation oncologists with third-party, impartial peer review and evaluation of patient care. Facility staff, equipment, treatment-planning and treatment records as well as patient-safety policies and quality control/quality assessment activities are assessed.
