Ellen Appleton, CNM, earned her Bachelor’s degree, with honors, from William Paterson University in 2012. After working at Shore Medical Center and Inspira Medical Center-Vineland as a labor and delivery nurse for six years, Ellen continued her education at Frontier Nursing University. There she obtained both a Master's of Science in Nursing and a post-graduate certificate as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She currently practices at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital as a certified nurse midwife, and she participates in several national organizations, including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Nurse Practitioners for Women’s Health.
Ellen prides herself on bringing evidence-based, quality, individualized care to the community, as well as incorporating women in their own care. Supporting women before, during, and after their pregnancy is a main focus of her efforts. She also provides gynecological services from menstruation to menopause, which includes, but is not limited to: birth control counseling/prescription, preconception care, STD testing/counseling, and postmenopausal care.
