Cindy Hou, DO, is the Infection Control Officer for Jefferson Health - New Jersey. Dually board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, she previously served as the Interim Chief Quality Officer. Dr. Hou is the Physician Chair of the Infection Control Committee, Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee, and ‘Sepsis on the Floors’ Task Force. She has played an active role in New Jersey with sepsis and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.

In addition, Dr. Hou serves on the Board of Directors of the national Sepsis Alliance. Dr. Hou earned an MBA and MA from Boston University, her DO degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a BS degree from Yale University.

She holds Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) and is a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Internists (ACOI), the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA). At the national level, Dr. Hou has served on the CDC/IDSA COVID-19 Clinician Call Program and is a member of the IDSA’s Quality Improvement Committee.
