About

Hablo Espanol.

As a primary care provider, I aim to provide health-based medical care through patient empowerment. I enjoy working to remove imbalances in chronic health and using thoughtful and effective treatment options to address root causes and symptoms. I am committed to implementing prevention, as much as treatment, using an individualized approach to support physiological and emotional needs.

I am passionate about the treatment of opioid use disorder, and I am a waivered buprenorphine provider. I prescribe buprenorphine in several forms, including the injection Sublocade and the generic sublingual film/tablets Suboxone and Zubsolv. Buprenorphine is a proven, evidence-based successful option for the treatment of opioid use disorder. Buprenorphine is a safe opioid agonist, meaning it binds to the opioid receptors but only partially activates them. Thus, buprenorphine’s ability to produce euphoria and respiratory depression is limited, even at high doses. Another option is naltrexone/Vivitrol injection, which blocks opiate receptors to reduce the desire to use opiates.

I understand the value of long-term Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and the importance of working in an environment of compassion and careful patient management.  With a focus on maximizing empowerment, I can help patients live in a way that is consistent with self-respect and confidence for a meaningful future. I feel privileged and gain great satisfaction to be part of a patient’s recovery journey in reclaiming their life.

As a way to combat COVID-19 and continue delivering evidence-based treatment, we offer Telehealth services for MAT. Whether you’re a new patient or continuing treatment, today’s Telehealth options allow us to remain consistent in your treatment during the pandemic. My MAT services are billed to your insurance, so the only out of pocket expense you would have is your primary care co-pay (after meeting any insurance deductible).
