Virtual Family Caregiver Dementia Series

A two-part education program series designed to increase understanding of dementia and improve skills for family caregivers.

These programs are presented in partnership between the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter and Jefferson’s Division of Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care.

September 16:  Dementia and Alzheimer’s: Diagnosis, Treatment and Ongoing Care ~ Dr. Gillian Love, Fellow in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Jefferson Health Division of Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care, Department of Family and Community Medicine

  •  Understand the importance of getting a diagnosis for dementia symptoms
  •  Learn about common treatments and ongoing care needs+

September 30:  Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior ~ Anne Markel-Crozier, Alzheimer’s Association Community Educator

  •  Understand common triggers for behaviors associated with dementia
  •  Learn strategies to address common behaviors
