Three Jefferson NJ Physicians Inducted as Surgery Fellows

Three Jefferson Health New Jersey physicians recently were inducted as Surgery Fellows: Drs. Marc Neff, Kahyun Yoon-Flannery, and Duane Monteith.

Dr. Neff, Medical Director of the Center for Surgical Weight Loss, was recently inducted as a Fellow of the Philadelphia Academy of Surgery. The Academy is the oldest continuously meeting surgical society in the U.S. and was founded in 1879 by Dr. Samuel D. Gross, then-Chair of Surgery of the Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Neff is shown below at the induction ceremony with the Academy’s Past-President Dr. Linwood Haith.

Also, the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center – Washington Township’s Dr. Yoon-Flannery, Medical Director of the Comprehensive Breast Center, and Dr. Monteith, Medical Director of Thoracic Oncology, were recently inducted as Fellows of the American College of Surgeons. The College, founded in 1913, is a scientific and educational association of surgeons that aims to improve the quality of care for surgical patients by setting high standards for surgical education and practice.
