1st Robotic Surgery Performed at Jefferson Stratford Hospital
The first robotic surgery using the da Vinci® XI Robotic Surgical System at Jefferson Stratford Hospital took place on Wednesday, January 12. The procedure was done by Jefferson NJ Chief of Surgery Roy Sandau, DO, (standing, third from right). Sandau, who posed with members of the Stratford hospital surgical team, has completed more than 1,000 robotic procedures at Jefferson NJ. Robotic surgery is known for less pain, smaller incisions, and a quicker recovery time for patients.
